Happy Thanksgiving...IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving and enjoy your break from schoolwork. The semester is going by quickly and it is important that you not get behind in your work. You will be receiving an envelope in the mail by the end of this week. You will find a Master Agreement for the spring semester and an updated progress report. Both of these papers need to be signed in Blue or Black ink and brought to our next meeting. You will earn some extra credit points if you bring both papers signed to our next meeting!!! Learning Period 3

Today is the first day of LP3. Please make sure to filter to the correct LP to find your assignments. Most of you are in LP3, but there are a few of you that need to get assignments from LP2. Call if you have any questions.

Just wanted to tell you that you are all doing a great job this semester!!! You are doing well with the new Launchpad system and I am very impressed with how quickly you all caught on!!! Keep up the good work. Please call me if you need anything..or email me. Have a great week.

Learning Period 2

Learning Period 2 has begun...please make sure that when completing your assignments in Launchpad who are in LP2, unless you are finishing assignments from LP1 (you will need to filter for LP1 to find the assignments)

UPCOMING EVENTS...

Happy Friday..here are a couple things coming up that you can be involved with...

Book Fair Art Project: The home school students are having a book fair and they are looking for high school students to create posters to display around the book fair. If you are in an Art Class this will count as part of your assignment. You need to create a poster with a Safari theme. The posters are due by September 30th.

Harvest Festival: The school will be putting on a Harvest Festival on the 24th of October. They are looking for high school students who would be interested in running game booths or helping out in some way. It should be a fun afternoon for all.

Please let me know if you are interested in either of these activities. I would love to give you more information!!!

How is it Going.....

I hope everyone is having a good week and you are completing all your assignments. I would like you to email me through Launchpad, so that I can make sure that everyone's email is working. I will add 5 points to your next participation grade when I receive your email. In your email you can tell me what class is going the best for you right now and which class is the most difficult for you. You can also ask me any questions that you may have. I look forward to reading all of your EMAILS!!!!!

WORK PERMITS

If you are currently working you must get a new work permit for this school year. Please fill one out and submit it to the Visions office as soon as possible. You can find a work permit form in VIE COMMUNITY (enterVIE COMMUNITY through Launchpad). Once in VIE COMMUNITY you can type WORK PERMIT in the search window and a link to the work permit form will appear.

Welcome to the 2008/2009 school year. I look forward to going through this journey of high school with you.
